Holy Fontifier, Batman!
Alright, so I ran across Fontifier today. I had tried, years ago, to make a bitmap font of my handwriting. After hours in front of the CRT generating the thing pixel-by-pixel, I gave up. I’m so glad I did. So about 10 minutes with a fine-point sharpie, 3 practice sheets, and an additional 4 minutes or so lining things up in an image editor (I normalized the baseline a bit) and 9 bucks later, and I’ve got a true-type font of my handwriting!
To test it out, I figured I’d set it as my default font in BeOS and see how it all looks.
So I had to try it out at work too… This one has some of the javashare source code in it.

Wow, a techie who’s handwriting can be read, somewhat…
Don’t ever let me use that service. I can’t read my own writing on paper, let alone on screen.
